Jazz singer and radio host Melanie O'Reilly of "Jazz on the Bay" met with pianist and Piano Jazz host Marian McPartland in 2007 when Marian was 89 years old. A personal and intimate interview, Marian shared her life stories and musical inspirations with Melanie while taking a break from her performance at Yoshi's in Oakland CA. First broadcast on RTE Radio 1 (Ireland's public service broadcaster) and one of the last interviews Marian gave, it is a music-filled tribute to the late great jazz pioneer.

Irish jazz singer and radio host Melanie O'Reilly, visited the Brubeck Festival at the Brubeck Institute in Stockton, in 2007. In this program of "Jazz on the Bay", Dave Brubeck's music legacy is explored featuring interviews with the legend himself, his wife Iola and tributes from his close musical colleagues and friends including film actor/director Clint Eastwood, who also shares a little of his own involvement in jazz.
